It’s the weekend, which means it’s time to discover which games we’ll be delving into for a few hours. But before that, let’s take a look back at the highlights of this week.
To kick things off, we learned that the [ppp1] is striving to become the top-selling console of all time—a peculiar ambition indeed. Additionally, [ppp2] unveiled a captivating new lineup, and news broke about an [ppp3] designed to tidy up those bothersome Switch dock wires.
April Fool’s Day naturally made its appearance, and we [ppp4]. Meanwhile, details about the upcoming [ppp5] were disclosed, and the prospects sound truly magnificent. The anticipation is palpable.

I had my eye on the charming [ppp6], but it’s yet to grace the EU eShops, and my US credit has been depleted. Thankfully, my backlog could make even an elephant with constipation blush, so I’ll manage just fine until it lands on my local eShop.
This weekend calls for a bit of [ppp7], some [ppp8], and a sprinkle of GBA [ppp9]. Alternatively, considering I recently relocated a chunk of my retro collection from a cardboard box to a chest of drawers, spending the entire weekend immersed in ISS64 isn’t out of the question. Have a fantastic one, everyone.

I’m currently engrossed in a Metroidvania marathon, and surprisingly, after numerous attempts, [ppp10] has finally clicked for me. The reason for my initial disinterest eludes me, but I’m thoroughly enjoying this latest endeavor. With any luck, I’ll complete it before Silksong’s arrival… Most likely.
Elsewhere, I’ve embarked on a fresh journey on the PS5. Undoubtedly, it stands as one of the premier action games of all time and a genuine showcase of Sony’s latest console.

This weekend, I intend to engage in some [ppp11] with a few friends. It has become a crowd favorite whenever I have guests over, and the ability to accommodate up to 6 players on a single switch is truly remarkable!
I also hope to squeeze in a few rounds of [ppp12], although time will tell if I can do so because, as we all know, once you start, stopping becomes quite the challenge!

I’ve found myself back in the realm of [ppp13] with fervor. Admittedly, the allure of 1.6 drew me back, but while awaiting its arrival on Switch, I’m diligently catching up on the 1.5 content—I require those battery packs for the ship!
On the polar opposite end of the spectrum, I recently conquered my first ever Soulsborne in [ppp14], and now I’ve transitioned to [ppp15]. Oh boy, that’s quite the shift in pace and mechanics. I’m already dreading the poison, and I haven’t even reached the toxic region yet!

A few more runs of [ppp16] are in the cards as I strive to unlock those clandestine characters! Progress in [ppp17]’s quest for continental supremacy is on the agenda, and I’ve added Earth Defense Force 3 Japanese import to my collection of bug-hunting and kaiju battles. NSO also provides a perfect pretext to revisit GBA’s [ppp18]. My discord crew also has another evening session lined up for HELLDIVERS and EDF: Iron Rain. These gatherings typically end with us inadvertently eliminating each other rather than the foes of managed democracy.
The standout game of the week is Xeno Crisis… on Super Nintendo!? How did Bitmap Bureau manage to achieve this feat? I’m dusting off and reassembling my trusty PAL Super Nintendo for some bug hunting devoid of Blast Processing!

To be candid, I’m still engrossed in [ppp19], [ppp20], and [ppp21], the latter of which recently joined Game Pass (despite my lack of experience with Diablo games, despite my penchant for loot). Amidst these, I’m also engrossed in Balatro—I’m stuck at the 300,000,000 blind, so any pointers would be greatly appreciated—and having just completed (what a masterpiece!!!), I’m on the lookout for more murder-mystery-plot-twistery adventures.
Oh, and I recently reviewed a game that left a favorable impression, but the reveal will have to wait until next week!
