Champion of Life Spiderman Endorsed by Trump, Tucker Carlson, and Elon Musk

On Wednesday, an individual who goes by the moniker “Pro-Life Spider-Man” was arrested for scaling a high-tech Sphere building.

Local law enforcement responded to reports of a person climbing a structure near the 200 block of Sands Avenue, later identified as Maison Des Champs. The 24-year-old was taken into custody and charged with vandalism and conspiracy to damage private property. Des Champs, known for previous incidents such as climbing the Aria Hotel in Las Vegas in 2021 to protest Covid-19 regulations, attempted to intervene in a situation involving a woman’s potential abortion decision following an online post by the anti-abortion group Let Them Live.

Des Champs did not provide a comment to Rolling Stone regarding the incident.

Despite appearing as a vigilante opposing abortion rights, Des Champs’ social media activity indicates a tendency to endorse content from controversial figures like Elon Musk, Tucker Carlson, and Donald Trump.

In 2022, Des Champs climbed the Salesforce Tower in San Francisco to raise funds for anti-abortion causes and also scaled the New York Times building to display a sign stating, “Abortion kills more than 911 every week!” Despite claiming to raise money to end abortion, his fundraising efforts have fallen short of his targets.

Last November, Des Champs shared a post referencing Elon Musk’s remarks on overpopulation. He criticized the argument linking overpopulation to abortion and suggested a return to larger family sizes. Additionally, he equated legal abortion to a “holocaust” in a graphic video post, highlighting the destruction of fetuses.

In a peculiar comparison on Instagram last August, Des Champs juxtaposed his photo with former President Trump’s mugshot, hinting at challenging times ahead. His actions have garnered praise from right-wing personality Tucker Carlson, who admired Des Champs’ physical prowess and courage. However, Des Champs’ association with individuals facing legal issues raises questions about his approach to advocating against abortion.

Des Champs, self-identified as an “ambassador” for Turning Point, a conservative organization led by Charlie Kirk, claims his mission is to dissuade women from choosing abortion. However, his admiration for controversial figures suggests a contentious strategy in influencing women’s reproductive choices.
