Might be The Man — but when it comes to attaining a harmonious work-life equilibrium, even she’ll welcome any assistance available.
At 37, Lynch, along with her husband—currently holding the WWE Heavyweight Champion title—embodies the essence of a power couple in the world of professional wrestling. When the pair embarked on parenthood in December 2020, they understood that it would require a joint effort.
In an exclusive conversation with Us Weekly, Lynch expressed, “It truly does take a community.”
“We have a bus, which significantly simplifies our lives,” Lynch remarked. “Our bus driver is exceptional, and his wife, who also provides incredible support, serves as our nanny. We travel together as this unique, extended family.”
Having revealed her pregnancy in the midst of the ring during Monday Night Raw in May 2020, Lynch welcomed her daughter later that year. Her triumphant return to the ring took place at SummerSlam in August 2021, just a little over eight months after Roux was born.
Lynch acknowledged that without her dedicated support system, navigating life on the road with her now 3-year-old daughter would have been immensely challenging.
“They’re like family,” Lynch expressed. “She has formed such close bonds with them.”
Spending considerable time in close proximity to her 37-year-old husband Rollins has only strengthened her sense of security in their relationship.
“I always anticipated that being involved with someone in the same profession would be complicated,” Lynch confessed. “I imagined that work would dominate our conversations. And indeed, we do talk about work a lot. However, we comprehend each other, and it significantly eases our lives.”
Lynch further admitted that she has been pleasantly surprised by the joys of motherhood thus far, which has also deepened her admiration for her own mother.

“I find it unexpectedly enjoyable,” she shared. “I believe people tend to overemphasize the challenges. That’s been my revelation. I was uncertain about my capabilities as a mother. I recall giving my mother a hard time and telling her she fretted excessively about everything. Now, I’m like twenty times worse. I worry about everything. That has been quite surprising. I’ve become just like my mother.”
Despite her daughter’s exposure to the limelight of professional wrestling, Lynch humorously remarked that she is “still attempting to pique her interest” in her parents’ careers.
“She adores superheroes and villains,” Lynch explained. “In her eyes, everyone falls into either category. I ask her, ‘Would you like to see Mama battle the villains since she’s a superhero?’ And she replies, ‘No.’ She simply isn’t intrigued.”
During last year’s WrestleMania 39 at [ppp1], where both Lynch and Rollins had matches on Night 1 of the event, the couple arranged a suite for their friends and family. However, Lynch amusingly noted that Roux was “more focused on indulging in treats than watching the wrestling.”
While she is delighted to be back in the ring, gearing up for a match against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 40 for the WWE Women’s Heavyweight Championship, her hiatus from wrestling allowed her to delve into writing her memoir, The Man: Not Your Average Girl.
“Being candid is always a bit daunting,” Lynch commented on penning down her life story. “You’re recounting events from your own viewpoint and perspective. Right or wrong, it’s your perspective. I’ve aimed to capture that essence in the book. I’m laying myself bare. All my fears, all my insecurities—whether good, bad, or indifferent. It’s all a bit nerve-wracking.”
Throughout the process, she would share snippets of the book with her husband, acknowledging that his feedback might be somewhat biased.
Lynch remarked, “I’m certain he doesn’t consider everything I do as exceptional, but I’m pretty confident he finds me pretty cool.”
The Man: Not Your Average Girl is now available. WrestleMania 40 is scheduled for April 6 and 7, with live streaming options on Peacock.
