Tiger Woods Reportedly Removes Intimacy from Current Lifestyle

Entertainment News Update from Newsweek Contributors

Tiger Woods is completely focused on one goal: preparing for the 2024 Masters Tournament, as per a close associate.

Reportedly, the renowned golfer is fully dedicated to his comeback at the tournament, which he has clinched five times in the past. To maintain his intense focus, Woods has adopted a strict regimen that includes abstaining from sexual activity.

A trusted source shared, “He’s putting in extensive hours at the gym, following a disciplined diet, and has even chosen to abstain from intimate relations.” The insider revealed these details in an article released on Wednesday, April 3, highlighting Woods’ unwavering commitment to his preparation routine.

Having secured his first Masters victory at the age of 21 in 1997, Woods, now 48, has participated in 25 Masters tournaments throughout his illustrious career, with his most recent triumph in 2019.

Describing the Masters as an event that holds paramount importance for Woods each year, his confidant emphasized, “Tiger is leaving no stone unturned. He is investing significant effort into training, perfecting his skills, and prioritizing self-care. His ultimate aim is not just to participate but to emerge victorious.”

Tiger Woods, a prominent figure in American golf, was captured teeing off at the second hole during a pro-am event preceding The Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club on February 14, 2024, in Pacific Palisades, California. Notably, Woods is currently observing a period of celibacy, as disclosed by a close acquaintance.

The decision to abstain from sexual activities comes to light 15 years after Woods was embroiled in a widely publicized scandal involving extramarital affairs, including his infidelity to his then-spouse, Elin Nordegren. Following the scandal, which saw multiple women coming forward with allegations, Woods sought treatment for sex addiction, a chapter he later reflected upon in his 2017 memoir, Tiger Woods – Unprecedented, The Masters and Me.

Expressing profound remorse for the tumultuous period in his life, Woods conveyed, “My regret will endure a lifetime. Nevertheless, Elin and I are fully dedicated to our children, and our bond has evolved into a strong friendship as we prioritize their well-being. Our children are our top priority.”

In more recent years, Woods’ personal life has continued to attract significant attention. In 2021, he was involved in a severe single-car accident that inflicted severe leg injuries, posing a grave threat to his life. Additionally, his former girlfriend Erica Herman, who was romantically involved with Woods until 2022, initiated legal action against the golfer, alleging unjust eviction from their Florida residence. Woods refuted the claims, and the lawsuit was subsequently withdrawn by Herman.
