Texas Rangers unveil new foods, retailers at Globe Life Field

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Texas Rangers have officially unveiled their lineup of brand new menu items available at Globe Life Field ahead of opening day on March 28 — from a chile relleno-style hot “dawwg” to a tower of garlic knot meatball sliders. Fans can also shop commemorative 2023 World Series Championship merchandise and newly added retailers like Kendra Scott.

Boomstick Triple Play, $32.99

Arriving at Globe Life with a bang is “The Boomstick Triple Play” (available at Section 132), which includes an 8-inch double patty burger, a chili cheese dog from Texas Chili Company and loaded Tostitos nachos for $32.99. All items in the trio are topped with nacho cheese.

Texas Tacos, $14.99

The “Texas Tacos” include either taco meat or grilled chicken inside a “Ranger red” crunchy taco shell lined with a flour tortilla and are topped with lettuce, pico de gallo, shredded cheese and salsa verde or roja for $14.99. The Tex-Mex treat is available in Sections 17, 106 and 226.

Korean Pork Steamed Buns, $15.99

New “Korean Pork Steamed Buns” (Section 124 and 230) include a slow-cooked Korean-style pulled pork inside a steamed bao bun, topped with cilantro, Unagi sauce and spicy mayo for $15.99.

Meatball Garlic Knot Sliders, $17.99

Another finger food attendees can enjoy at the stadium are the “Meatball Garlic Knot Sliders,” a tower of Italian-style meatballs served on garlic knot bread and topped with marinara sauce and parmesan cheese. Find these at Sections CL23, 133 and 230 for $17.99 for three sliders.

Ranchero Chile Relleno Dawwg, $15.99

The “Ranchero Chile Relleno Dawwg” is an Angus beef hot “dawwg” stuffed with queso chihuahua, wrapped in roasted banana pepper and bacon, grilled and served on a Martin’s potato roll topped with grilled onions. Find it at concession stands at Sections 121 and 225 for $15.99.

Chicken Empanadas, $14.99

The chicken empanadas available at Sections 108 and 225 are the tamest of the bunch. The simple yet appetizing menu item consists of a handmade empanada stuffed with chicked, then fried and served with salsa roja and Tostitos tortilla chips for $14.99.

New restaurants

Available at Globe Life for the first time is Texas’ favorite fast-food joint, Whataburger (Section 105). The burger chain will feature some of its most iconic menu items like the #1 Whataburger, fries, onion rings and Whataburger shakes.

Newly available at the stadium’s Golden Chick location (Section 128) will be a chicken and waffles taco, which consists of a waffle “taco” shell wrapped around a chicken tender and drizzled with honey sriracha sauce.

Hurtado Barbecue, the stadium’s official barbecue partner, will feature its most popular item, the milanesa taco (Section 141). The taco consists of a chicken fried piece of brisket topped with gravy and chile de arbol and wrapped in a flour tortilla.

Available on a rotating basis will be Arlington-based restaurants Ella B’s Restaurant, Prince Lebanese Grill, Sugar Bee Sweets Bakery, The Tin Cup and Cartel Tacos and newcomers Shrimp Doc and TJ’s Catfish & Wings.

Retail shopping

Apart from new eats, Rangers fans can also shop new merchandise and retail stores.

“Gold Collection” merchandise commemorating the Rangers’ 2023 World Series Championship is now available at the Grand Slam Team Store. The collection features jerseys, baseball caps, T-shirts, magnets, pennants and other novelty items.
