Thrash metal icons Slayer have regrouped and are set to headline the four-day music extravaganza in Louisville this September. The festival, taking place from September 26-29 at the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Exposition Center, will also feature renowned acts such as Mötley Crüe, Judas Priest, Tom Morello, Slipknot, and Korn, alongside nearly 150 other artists as part of the event’s 10th-year celebration.
Known as North America’s premier music festival, this grand event boasts performances across five stages. Tickets for single-day entry, weekend passes, and inclusive hotel packages are currently available for purchase.
Slayer’s reunion follows guitarist Kerry King’s recent announcement of a solo album release in May. Despite initial plans for a farewell tour in 2019, frontman Tom Araya’s desire to retire has evidently shifted, leading to the band’s participation in Riot Fest in Chicago from September 20-22.
Reflecting on their return, Araya expressed his excitement about the live performance experience, emphasizing the unique connection and energy shared with their dedicated fanbase. Guitarist Kerry King echoed this sentiment, underscoring the significance of Slayer to both the band and their loyal followers, marking a five-year hiatus from live shows.

Various general admission packages, encompassing access for all four days and a stay of three to five nights at a hotel, are priced from \)641.
