In real life, Larry David is married to Ashley Underwood, a producer recognized for her work on two of Sacha Baron Cohen’s projects: Borat Subsequent Moviefilm and the TV series Who is America.
Their encounter took place at Baron Cohen’s birthday celebration in 2017, as revealed in an interview David had with The New York Times. Seated beside each other during dinner, the interaction was going smoothly until David abruptly excused himself.
