The Relay For Life, a cornerstone event by the American Cancer Society, invites residents from Parkland, Coral Springs, Margate, and Coconut Creek to engage actively in the battle against cancer. A Global Movement to Save Lives
Relay For Life isn’t just an event; it’s a global movement involving 2.5 million people across numerous countries, all dedicated to eradicating cancer. As the world’s largest peer-to-peer fundraising initiative to fight cancer, it provides a platform for survivors, caregivers, and supporters to connect and share their stories of courage and hope. Celebrating Life and Legacies
This year’s Relay For Life will feature the theme ‘Relay Through the Decades,’ with more than 40 teams and 500 participants aiming to raise awareness and funds. The event will spotlight over 100 cancer survivors and their caregivers with a special Survivors Lap and a complimentary dinner to celebrate their triumphs. As the evening progresses, luminaria bags will be lit to remember those lost, celebrate the survivors, and offer solace to those currently battling cancer, reminding everyone of the community’s strength and unity.
