The 42-year-old actress, Jodie Sweetin, shared her sentiments with PEOPLE during an event in Connecticut last Saturday, expressing her admiration for her husband of two years, who she described as “incredibly supportive.”
When questioned about her marital experience, Sweetin enthusiastically responded, “I am. Married life is amazing. We’re approaching our second anniversary in July, and I couldn’t be happier.”
She further elaborated, “He is the most incredibly supportive person, yet he also allows me the freedom to be myself, pursue my passions like ‘90s Con, all while holding down the fort at home. It’s a perfect balance that works out really well.”
Sweetin tied the knot with her “incredibly supportive” husband, Wasilewski, in July 2022, following their public debut as a couple in September 2017.
In a Valentine’s Day Instagram post back in February 2018, Sweetin expressed her love for Wasilewski.
Reflecting on their newlywed life before their first anniversary last July, Sweetin shared, “We are still savoring every moment together. We simply enjoy each other’s company.”
“He wholeheartedly supports all my endeavors and is genuinely excited about the new opportunities coming my way. But above all, we cherish our time together. He has a special bond with my daughters,” she added, referring to her two girls, Zoie, 15, and Beatrix, 13.
The former ‘Full House’ star, now 42, described her journey in matrimony as “amazing” thus far.
Sweetin’s recent accolades for her spouse come on the heels of a heartfelt birthday tribute he posted for her in January.
“Happy birthday to my better half and adventurous travel companion, @jodiesweetin,” he penned in an Instagram tribute. “Thank you for tolerating me, and I look forward to more impromptu trips with you. Love you, babe. The dog also wanted to wish you a happy birthday.”
In response, Sweetin expressed, “I love you immensely… I can’t wait to annoy you in various picturesque locations around the globe. ❤️.”
On the eve of her birthday, the couple embarked on a romantic getaway to a “10-acre Airbnb in Julian, Ca.”
Sweetin expressed her gratitude for the thoughtful gesture, stating, “You always plan the most idyllic escapes for us… where I can unwind, reconnect with nature, and find peace. I’ve never had to ask because you instinctively know. And that’s one of the countless reasons why I love you. You understand me so well. (Gross… emotions… 😂).”
