“I believe there is a necessity for strong paternal figures within households. We require men who exhibit leadership qualities, serve as positive role models, and impart the understanding to young men in our community that resorting to violence is not the appropriate means to resolve conflicts,” he expressed.
In a separate incident from February, there was uproar among Catholics regarding a prominent transgender activist’s funeral held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City.
Cardinal Timothy Dolan, who presided over a Mass of reparation following the funeral, stated that the cathedral “was completely unaware of this situation” and clarified that the archdiocese does not conduct FBI background checks on individuals seeking burial services.
Butker disclosed that he had penned a letter to Dolan urging him to adopt a firm stance against the disrespectful behaviors witnessed during the funeral.

“We require men who lead with a clear message, stating, ‘This is unacceptable. This is not right. As Catholics, we cannot condone this behavior.’ We must take a firm stand. At times, we prioritize societal opinions over the teachings of Jesus Christ,” Butker emphasized.
Reflecting on events within the United States, Butker shared that his faith in the Eucharist was reinforced during his journey back to Catholicism. Attending a Catholic conference, he engaged in Eucharistic Adoration alongside thousands of other individuals.
Butker emphasized that the significance of the Eucharist cannot be overstated. He highlighted the spiritual growth experienced by Catholics who dedicate time to adoration, daily Mass, Communion, and Confession, allowing themselves to fully immerse in the Church and its sacraments.
