Empower Your Saturday with this Life-Enhancing Women’s Event

LAKE OZARK, Missouri — An upcoming event tailored by and for women is set to take place this Saturday at The Lodge of Four Seasons, welcoming women aged 18 and above.

Organized by The University of Missouri Extension in collaboration with the Camden County Commission, #Elevate: An Empowering Experience for Women is a complimentary, full-day event.

#Elevate will encompass informative sessions, health check-ups, a motivational lunch and learn session, and an exhibition area showcasing vendors and services catering specifically to women.

Commencing at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, within the Campana Exhibit Hall at the Lodge of Four Seasons, the event will kick off with a keynote address by Jennifer K. Bardot, a renowned author and leader from St. Louis, focusing on Owning Your G.R.I.T.

Bardot boasts a remarkable track record, including being a five-time internationally best-selling anthologist, a recipient of the St. Louis 100 Titans of Industry, and the brain behind the G.R.I.T. Community, a thriving women’s leadership association boasting over 1,000 members.

The opening session promises to be a laid-back, motivational, and engaging workshop where participants will acquire strategies to cultivate their unique growth, resilience, and develop a plan of action to foster a stronger focus on their goals and perseverance.

The schedule for the remainder of the day is as follows:

  • 10 a.m. – Becki Jennings of The Jennings Group will lead a session on “Financial Solutions: Designed by Women for Women.”
  • 11 a.m. – Two simultaneous educational sessions will be available, focusing on building credit as an asset by experts from New Growth Women’s Business Center, and a presentation on self-care, stress management, and achieving a more balanced life by MU Extension human development specialist, Kyleigh Brown.

The exhibit hall will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., providing complimentary health and wellness screenings. Additionally, experts will offer demonstrations on skincare, hair care, beauty tips, healthy cooking on a budget, and other beneficial activities throughout the day.

Dr. Ashley Brown, MU Extension Assistant Professor and #Elevate organizer, emphasized, “The aim of #Elevate is to equip women with tools and insights to make informed decisions and progress with purpose in their lives. This event marks the beginning of a journey to positively impact the lives of women in mid-Missouri through education, connection, and community.”
