His formative years unfolded in Redlands, California, where his family, comprising his father Roy, mother Martie, and older sister Amy, resided until Lee’s middle school years. It was during this period that Lee’s ardor for cinema blossomed, sparked by family viewings of reel-to-reel films on their home projector.

Fueled by a passion for the theatrical arts, Lee, alongside his sister, staged performances in a home-built theater, captivating audiences of family and friends. Their creative inclinations evolved as they ventured into filmmaking, crafting spy-themed movies featuring themselves as protagonists. Lee’s artistic aspirations led him to pen several screenplays, driven by a profound appreciation for cinematic endeavors untethered by financial constraints. His affinity for artistry devoid of commercial motives resonated deeply with him.

Notably, Lee hailed from a family with a profound love for animals, instilling in him an innate empathy towards creatures in distress.
