Arjun Kapoor, set to take on the role of a villain in the star-studded movie Singham Again, expressed his gratitude to his mentors Aditya Chopra and Rohit Shetty for their belief in his ability to portray negative characters. Recently, Arjun unveiled his first look from the film, appearing drenched in blood and dressed in black attire.
Arjun Kapoor shared that portraying a negative character in Singham Again feels like a significant moment in his career, coming full circle.
In a statement, Arjun reflected on his journey and thanked those who inspired him, saying, “I began my career in the industry by delving into characters with shades of grey in films like Ishaqzaade and Aurangzeb. And now, after all these years, I find myself embracing the role of a villain in Singham Again! Aditya Chopra identified my potential to portray flawed characters, and now I am grateful to Rohit Shetty for entrusting me with the role of a full-fledged antagonist in his highly anticipated cop-centric film universe. Rohit Shetty has been a source of unwavering support and guidance throughout.”

Expressing his enthusiasm for portraying the antagonist in Rohit Shetty’s project, Arjun emphasized the opportunity for creative exploration. Directed by Rohit Shetty, Singham Again features an ensemble cast including Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Ranveer Singh in prominent roles. The film serves as the third installment in the immensely popular franchise.
The franchise commenced with the release of Singham in 2011, starring Kajal Aggarwal and Prakash Raj in lead roles, followed by Singham Returns in 2014. Both predecessors enjoyed significant success at the box office.
Singham Again is slated for a theatrical release in August 2024, coinciding with Independence Day.
