In New Boston, Texas, a man from Tennessee who was involved in criminal activities such as murder, assault, robbery, and burglary for the Texarkana-based gang Loyalty Cash Business has been handed three life sentences by a Bowie County jury following a four-day trial.
Cedric Alexander, aged 33, was convicted on multiple counts of organizing criminal activity, a charge similar to racketeering, and received the maximum sentence for each count along with a $10,000 fine per charge. Testimony from a police detective revealed that she had been living in constant fear due to a “hit” placed on her by gang members, leading her to require security for months, as shared by First Assistant District Attorney Kelley Crisp to TXK Today.
Crisp emphasized that the gang, known for its violent tendencies, enlisted Cedric Alexander from Memphis to instigate violence in the community, which ultimately led to a series of brutal crimes. Despite the evidence presented, including Alexander’s social media posts where he referred to himself as a “hitman,” displaying no remorse, the swift conviction by the jury resulted in the maximum punishment allowed by law for each offense.
The Bowie County District Attorney’s Office, in collaboration with local law enforcement, is actively pursuing charges against numerous individuals associated with Loyalty Cash Business to dismantle the gang’s criminal network and put an end to the longstanding issues of murders and drug trafficking in the Texarkana area.
Originally known as “Little Cuz Boys,” LCB, formed around 2003 as a juvenile street gang, later rebranded itself, promoting a criminal lifestyle through online music videos while engaging in various illicit activities. With some key members already incarcerated and others awaiting trial, the legal team is working to address the pending cases of several alleged associates involved in the criminal operations.
During the trial, experts presented evidence showing that Alexander’s cell phone records placed him at the scenes of multiple crimes, including murders, assaults, and robberies that occurred between 2020 and 2021. Collaborating with co-defendant Cornell Brown, Alexander was linked to the fatal shooting of Jermaine “Bubba” Aldridge at a Texarkana Chili’s on December 30, 2020, as well as other violent incidents in the area, such as an aggravated robbery, a daylight shooting at an auto body shop, and a home invasion in July 2021.
Represented by attorneys Jeff Harrelson from Texarkana and Tabitha Branch from Little Rock, Alexander faced trial under the supervision of Fifth District Judge Bill Miller.
