The unveiling of the new seven-show season took place on Tuesday night during a live event at the State Theatre in Cleveland. Playhouse Square proudly announced that it boasts over 44,000 season ticket holders, marking the largest number for a touring Broadway venue in North America.
Craig Hassall, the President, and CEO of Playhouse Square expressed gratitude towards the loyal season ticket holders, emphasizing that their enthusiasm and dedication enable the early booking of highly anticipated titles for the season.
One of the upcoming musicals embarking on a national tour in the fall is centered around the legendary American rock icon Neil Diamond. This production, scheduled to grace Playhouse Square from October 8-27, chronicles Diamond’s remarkable journey from a Brooklyn youngster to a global sensation with record-breaking album sales and sold-out concerts worldwide, rivaling even Elvis Presley in popularity.
Featuring beloved Diamond classics like “America,” “Forever in Blue Jeans,” and the iconic “Sweet Caroline,” the musical derives its title from Diamond’s renowned 1976 album.

‘Some Like It Hot’

Running from March 4-23, this innovative jukebox musical reimagines the classic love story of “Romeo and Juliet,” exploring an alternate narrative where Juliet forges her path beyond the tragic ending. With a contemporary twist and a score featuring popular anthems by Max Martin, including hits like “Roar” and “Baby One More Time,” this Elizabethan musical comedy offers a fresh perspective on a timeless tale.
‘Shucked’
A whimsical Tony Award-winning musical comedy set in a corn-obsessed town facing a crisis as their staple crop begins to wither, impacting a couple’s wedding plans. ‘Kimberly Akimbo’
Exploring themes of adolescence, aging, and resilience, this Tony Award-winning musical comedy follows the journey of 16-year-old Kimberly as she navigates life’s challenges with optimism and humor.
