  • Standard Action Projects (SAPs) with indicative budgets:

    • Nature and biodiversity – €155 million.
    • Circular economy and quality of life – €65 million.
    • Climate change mitigation and adaptation – €61.98 million.
    • Clean energy transition – €4 million.
    • New European Bauhaus – €8 million.
    • Environmental governance – €10 million.
  • Coordination and Support Action Grants (CSAs) for Clean energy transition – €77 million.

  • Strategic Integrated Projects (SNAPs/SIPs) funding amounting to €150 million.

  • Allocation of €26 million for Technical Assistance for Preparation for SIPs and SNAPs (TA-PP), Replication, Capacity Building, or Legislative & Policy Priorities.

  • Specific Operating Grant Agreements for NGOs totaling €14 million.

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested parties, including businesses, academic institutions, national, regional, and local governments, as well as non-governmental organizations (NGOs) operating within the EU in the realms of nature conservation, environmental protection, climate change, or clean energy transition, are encouraged to apply. LIFE seeks to support innovative projects with tangible impacts and best practices that can be replicated and expanded across Europe. Program Background:

Established in 1992, the LIFE Programme serves as the EU’s financial tool for environmental and climate initiatives. Over the years, it has sponsored over 5,500 projects within the EU and in third countries. For the 2021-2027 period, the European Commission has augmented LIFE Programme funding by nearly 60%, reaching €5.4 billion, and introduced the new clean energy transition sub-programme. The management of the LIFE Programme falls under the purview of the European Climate, Infrastructure, and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA).
