Gwen Stefani and her husband, Blake Shelton, delved into some gardening activities at their Oklahoma ranch, as showcased in a recent series of Stories shared by Stefani on April 15.
In the video clips, Stefani, aged 54, recounted their hurried efforts to plant zinnias before an upcoming rainstorm. She amusingly remarked, “We’ve got about five seconds to plant some zinnias, you call them ‘zin-ee-as,’ we call them ‘zeen-ee-as.’ We made them up ourselves,” as they sped around in their all-terrain vehicle.
While Shelton, aged 47, concentrated on driving, he appeared less eager to be on camera, leading his wife to cheer him on, saying, “C’mon Blake, we’re trying to engage with the humans. Engage.” The country singer eventually joined in, quipping, “We’ve got five minutes worth of zinnias to plant.”

The No Doubt vocalist made a point to highlight her husband’s new eyeglasses, prompting Shelton to make a face at the camera while Stefani chuckled in the background.

Stefani proceeded to discuss the various seeds they were planting, such as a large California mix and a semi-dwarf assortment of Lilliput zinnia mix. Despite their practical task, the former Voice mentor didn’t compromise on fashion, clad in a lengthy red and black plaid shirt paired with matching plaid pants, knee-high boots, diamond chokers, and a cross accessory.
Shelton opted for a more casual ensemble with a patterned brown and beige shirt, jeans, a khaki hat, and a rugged beard. The couple also mentioned their plans to plant camellias, with Stefani humorously struggling to open a seed bag due to her Coachella-inspired nails.
As they toiled, Stefani sang, “Hi ho, hi ho, it’s off to work we go,” with the “Boys ‘Round Here” crooner chiming in. They exchanged banter about their work pace, with the pop artist urging him to pick up speed while Shelton advocated for a more leisurely approach, to which she responded with a nod to her song, “A simple kind of life?”

Eventually, the duo reached their destination—a prepared field near a water body—with Stefani proclaiming, “Here it is, the field we’re going to conquer. We’re going to transform this field with flowers.”
Stefani also recently triumphed on April 13, reuniting with the band No Doubt for their first performance in nearly a decade. Addressing an ecstatic audience, Stefani marked the long-awaited reunion by exclaiming, “It’s been nine f–king years! I was thinking we should dust off some of the old s–t.” True to her distinctive style, the songstress owned the stage in another of her iconic plaid ensembles, accentuated by her signature red lipstick.
