Taylor Swift Collaborates with Spotify to Launch ‘Tortured Poets Department’ Library in Los Angeles

On April 15, an announcement was made regarding a collaboration between Spotify and the artist known for “Cruel Summer” on a unique “library installation” tied to her upcoming album, The Tortured Poets Department, set in Los Angeles.

As per the press release, the exhibition will offer Swifties an opportunity to immerse themselves in an open-air poetry library, meticulously curated to reflect the essence of the forthcoming record.

The library’s shelves will be brimming with books and intriguing visual elements, as disclosed by Spotify, likely serving as nods or sources of inspiration for Swift’s imminent release. It is planned to receive daily updates with fresh materials throughout its display duration, with hints possibly unveiled about the content of The Tortured Poets Department.

Scheduled to be showcased at The Grove in Los Angeles from April 16 to 18, the library promises an engaging experience. For fans unable to attend in person, Spotify assures that all the surprises and the album countdown will be accessible through Swift’s and the music distributor’s social media platforms.

As the release date for The Tortured Poets Department approaches, Swift is ramping up the excitement. Recently, she joined forces with Spotify once again to encourage fans to pre-save the album on the platform through a special video message.

In the black-and-white video, Swift greets Spotify for the album’s release week, urging fans to pre-save the album and stay tuned for further updates from the department.

Additionally, Swift teased some lyrics from the upcoming album on April 8, coinciding with the day of a solar eclipse, showcasing lines like “Crowd goes wild at her fingertips/Half moonshine, Full eclipse” on her Instagram Stories.

The big reveal about The Tortured Poets Department came during her acceptance speech for the best pop vocal album at the 2024 awards, a significant moment as it marked her 10th album and a nod to her lucky number.

Expressing gratitude to her fans for their unwavering support of her previous album, Midnights, Swift hinted at a secret she had been keeping for two years—the details of her new album.

Following her speech, Swift’s social media platforms were flooded with details about the upcoming release, unveiling the cover art, the album title The Tortured Poets Department, and the tagline, “All’s fair in love and poetry.”

The subsequent day saw the revelation of the tracklist, sparking speculation among Swifties about the song titles categorized under Side A and Side B.

The album is set to be released on Friday, April 19, creating heightened anticipation among fans.
