Dollywood’s Blossoming Flower & Food Festival Springs into Action on April 19

Dollywood’s Flower & Food Festival Overview

Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, is hosting the Flower & Food Festival presented by Covenant Health from April 19 to June 9, 2024, featuring over one million colorful blooms, delectable spring flavors, and captivating entertainment experiences for visitors.

Now in its fifth year, this popular event showcases the park as a stunning showcase of nature’s beauty. Elaborate floral arrangements adorn every corner, transforming the surroundings into a vibrant tapestry of colors and marvels.

Among the highlights are the iconic Mosaiculture sculptures, such as the whimsical butterfly umbrella, charming woodland creatures, and a heartwarming tribute to Dolly’s mother creating the Coat of Many Colors. Collaborating with Mosaicultures International, known for intricate floral designs, these sculptures add a touch of artistry to the festival.

Dolly herself expressed her love for spring in the Smokies, praising the park’s efforts to mirror the natural beauty of the region. She encourages visitors to witness the splendor of the Smoky Mountains during this enchanting season.

Aside from the visual delights, guests can indulge in a variety of culinary delights inspired by spring’s flavors. The festival offers a tasting pass for 39.99 or 36.99 for passholders, allowing guests to savor five different dishes at various festival locations. Menu highlights include honey BBQ ribs, garlic shrimp mac & cheese, and hand-decorated flower-themed desserts.

Entertainment is also a key feature of the festival, with musical performances like the Hall Sisters’ “Fun Day! with the Hall Sisters” and Robinella’s unique Appalachian jazz music. Visitors can enjoy these shows as part of their park admission.

For those seeking picturesque moments, the Umbrella Sky installation provides a striking backdrop for photos, along with other designated photo spots like the Showstreet Butterfly Carpeting and chalk art inspired by the Smokies.

A major highlight of this year’s festival is the debut of The Dolly Parton Experience on May 24. This immersive exhibit takes guests on a journey through Dolly’s life and career, showcasing her achievements, family influence, and iconic style. From interactive displays to behind-the-scenes glimpses, this experience offers a comprehensive look at the legendary singer.

Additionally, festival-themed activities extend to Dollywood’s resort properties, where guests can enjoy live entertainment, culinary delights, and spa treatments amidst festive décor and floral designs.

With a lineup of exciting events throughout the year, including the Sweet Summer Nights show and the Harvest Festival, Dollywood promises a year-round celebration of nature, music, and holiday cheer for visitors of all ages.
