Lim was shocked when she received the devastating news of her aggressive breast cancer diagnosis. Following a mastectomy and DIEP flap surgery in January 2021, she underwent radiation therapy and eight cycles of oral chemotherapy. The grueling treatments took a toll on both her physical and mental well-being, leaving her feeling disconnected from her former self and struggling to cope with the drastic changes brought on by the illness.

The once meticulous and appearance-conscious Lim found it particularly distressing to lose her hair and eyelashes due to chemotherapy. The emotional upheaval caused by the treatments led her to a profound sense of loss and identity crisis, marked by daily tears and a constant battle to accept the unwelcome transformations.

Despite the challenges, Lim’s cancer has been in remission since 2021, motivating her to share her story as a beacon of hope for others facing similar struggles. Reflecting on her journey, she realized the importance of reassessing her lifestyle choices and habits to prioritize her health and well-being.

Before her diagnosis, Lim led an active yet stressful life, often pushing herself to the limits both physically and mentally. Transitioning from a diet laden with indulgences to a nutrient-rich meal plan, Lim focused on eliminating gluten, dairy, processed snacks, and unhealthy fast foods. She also revamped her social interactions, replacing sedentary gatherings with active bonding sessions that combined workouts with quality time spent with friends.
